Clare Focused On Progression Ahead Of Wexford NHL Showdown

Clare will name their team tonight for Sunday’s National Hurling League showdown with Wexford in Cusack Park.

It is expected that manager Brian Lohan will make changes to the starting 15 from last weekend’s loss with Antrim, with at least one of those changes likely to be in defence after Paul Flanagan picked up an injury in Corrigan Park.

These sides met twice in 2020 with Clare coming out on top on both occasions, but there was contrasting form in this year’s opening round with Davy Fitzgerald’s outfit registering a commanding win over Laois.

Banner selector Ken Ralph admits there are plenty areas to work on and that the focus is on using these games to give players every chance to secure a starting spot.

Throw in on Sunday is at 12.45pm with live commentary here on Clare FM in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market Turnpike Road and Geraghty’s Spar and Off License Turnpike Ennis.
