The chairman of Clare GAA says they have no choice but to impose a charge on clubs to help finance the redevelopment of the County Grounds.
A loan of 800 thousand euro will be sought as part of the project, with the total cost estimated at €2.3 million.

Servicing this loan over a period of ten years will cost Clare GAA €108,000 annually, with clubs expected to have to contribute roughly half of this amount.
