The Clare county board are holding a special convention this evening to decide on the controversial bye laws in relation to isolated players and also plans for a new urban commitee to deal with gaelic games in towns across the county.
The meeting in the West Coutny hotel tonight begins at 7 with clubs expected to pass or reject proposals in relation to how Gaa players across Clare may play with one Gaa club for one code and an adjoining club for the other code.
And following the controversy last year over Eire Og’s plans to develop gaa at underage level in the town of Ennis and the dissolution of the urban board the county board is proposing that a new urban commitee be formed to promote gaelic games in urban areas across Clare.
Following the conclusion of the meeting regarding bye laws the county board are also set to debate a number of motions left over from its AGM in December in relation to county competiton structures.
