Clare Hurling Favourite Says They’re Looking To Learn From Lessons Of Last Year

One of the favourites for the 2016 Clare Senior Hurling Championship say they're looking to learn the lessons of last year ahead of the new campaign.

Ballyea will be anchored by Clare joint captain Tony Kelly while Clare senior football captain Gary Brennan will also feature when they face Eire Óg on Sunday.

They were beaten by a single point in last years quarter final by Kilmaley, and manager Robbie Hogan says they'll be using that hurt as motivation.

Saturday sees Whitegate and O'Callaghans Mills go head to head in Scariff.

Both sides failed to reach the knockout stages in 2015, with Whitegate maintaining their senior status secured in 2013.

Manager Mike Ryan says they're looking to progress.
