Clare enjoyed a 1-9 to 0-03 lead at the break but Ian Ryan, who scored 10 points in all,had Limerick ahead with just four minutes remaining.

David Tubridy then scored an equaliser and the winner in the final five minutes.

The Clare junior also recorded a famous win at the gaelic grounds last night.

They overcame Waterford 13 points to 7 with a home Munster final against Kerry or Cork on the cards next month.

Clare will now be very intersted spectators in this evening’s other Munster football semi final as Kerry take on Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh at 2.
