Clare Looking To Keep Laois Talisman Kavanagh Quiet In Qualifier Tie

A key member of Clare’s senior hurling side says they’ll be looking to give a disciplined performance against Laois in the first round of the qualifiers.

The Banner take on Eddie Brennan’s men on Saturday hoping to kickstart their campaign after a Munster quarter final loss to Limerick a fortnight ago.

The Leinster side should have free-taking talisman Mark Kavanagh back to full fitness after he was restricted to only one half of hurling in their loss to Dublin.

Eire Og club man David Reidy hurled with Kavanagh in LIT’s Fitzgibbon Cup side – and says Clare can’t afford to hand him opportunities to strike at the weekend.

That one throws in at 1.15 on Saturday at UPMC Nowlan Park in Kilkenny – Clare FM will have full live commentary of the game, in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market on the Turnpike Road, and Geraghty’s Spar and Off Licence, Ennis.
