In ladies football, Clare have lost out in their Division 2 National League semi-final against Westmeath today.
The Leinster outfit got off to a quick start in Banagher, registering 2-4 before Clare scored their opening point in the 14th minute.
Westmeath went onto continue dominating the first half, and went in at the break with a 15-point advantage, 4-6 to 0-3.
In the second half, a returning-from-injury Niamh O'Dea helped turn matters somewhat.
She scored a number of points, and set up Clare's only goal of the game which came through Grainne Nolan.
And while this helped the Banner cut the gap somewhat, Westmeath still won through to the final on a final scorelines of 4-12 to 1-11.
