Clare have lost to Limerick in the Mc Grath cup by 2-16 to 2-13 after extra time in Foynes this afternoon.
In a thrilling contest Clare led by 1-7 to 0-06 at half time-Podge Mc Mahon getting the opeing goal. and the Clondegad man scored a second after the break before Ian Ryan responded with a goal for the home side

However Clare conceded 1-2 in the final two minutes of normal time,including a last minute Seamus O Carrol goal to see the game enter an extra 20 minute period with Limerick outscoring Clare 6 points to 3 to seal a place in the semi final against Kerry next weekend.
Kerry beat UCC by 2-12 to 10 points but Tipperary got the better of Cork by 2-9 to 1-9 and it ended UL 0-12 0-16 Waterford AET
