All-Ireland champions Tipperary have beaten rivals Clare in the Munster Semi-Final by 4-19 to 1-19 to book a place in this year’s Munster Final against Waterford.
Clare started brightly with Connor McGrath grabbing a goal in the first few moments to send a signal to the All-Ireland Champions of their intent.
Tipperary then asserted themselves with goals coming from Eoin Kelly, Patrick Maher and Lar Corbett in the first half.
When the match resumed in the second half it became a cagier affair with both sides looking to shore up their defenses. Tipp still managed to grab a late goal from Seamus Callanan to put a gloss on the scoreline.
Davy Fitzgerald’s Waterford are waiting for the winners in this year’s Munster final.
Better luck for the Clare intermediate’s as they beat Cork today by 2-16 to 0-15 to book a final place against Limerick next month
