Clare manager asks for further improvement after Westmeath win

Ger O Loughlin has said the county’s fortunes are in their own hands after their second win of the Division two league campaign yesterday over Westmeath in Mullingar.

Clare now sit in fourth position  with two home games in a row coming up next against Down and Kerry.

The All Ireland winning forward also feels the side has now overcome their oepning day defeat to Limerick in Cusack Park which saw Clare only score one point in the opening half of a 2-9 to 0-06 loss.

The Clarecastle man  is looking forward to keeping up their momentum:

The Clare manger also feels his side are building towards the championship and the opening game agauinst either Cork or Tipperary.

However he does admit that that there current level of performance won’t be good enough to beat the top teams in the country:
