Clare manager not blaming younger players for defeat to Limerick

Clare hurling manager Ger O Loughlin isn’t going to use youth as an excuse for yesterday’s 9 point loss to Limerick in Ennis.

Clare started with a number of players who were making their league debuts as well as a number of other players who had featured on recent u21 sides.

The double All Ireland winner told Clare fm that the game will have to be forgotten about qucikly ahead of next Sunday’s trip to Belfast to tak eon Antrim:

[The win was the first for Limerick in the League for nearly 18 months after the disintegration of the Justin Mc carthy regime.

The side were bolstered by a number of players who returned for Limerick after failing to line out for the county in 2010.
