The GAA has reported a deficit at national level of €34.1 million after 2020 revenue was badly hit by the pandemic.

Clare County Board received just over €396,000 euro from GAA HQ last year – a third of this the basic distribution grant of €130,000 which all counties receive equally.

Just over €67,000 was allocated to games development, while more than €63,000 was given in operating grants.

Competition distribution was almost €56,000, with team and player expenses marking another €35,000. The remaining €50,000 was paid to Clare County Board for rent costs.

No other county in Munster received less than 420,000 last year, with two counties – Kerry and Cork – receiving in excess of half a million euro of central funds.

The GAA’s full annual report can be viewed at this link.
