Clare Senior Member Says League Won’t Play Any Part In Sunday’s Quarter Final

A senior member of Colm Collins football squad insists league form will play no part when they face Limerick in Sunday's Munster Football Quarter Final.

Clare secured their second league promotion in three years in 2016, while Limerick were relegated after failing to win a single game.

They've met twice in the championship since 2012, with Clare edging two tight battles.

Joe Hayes will guard the goals for Clare on Sunday, he says they're in another tough afternoon.

Meanwhile the joint manager of the Clare Junior Team says their game will provide an opportunity for more players to stake a claim for a place on Colm Collins panel next year.

Clare's second string face their Limerick counterparts in Sunday's curtain raiser at the Gaelic Grounds, and St Breckans man Neil Hawes says they'll be using a mix of youth and experience.

That game throws in on Sunday at 12 noon.
