Clare SFC Round II Wrap Up

Defending champions Cratloe are into the quarter finals of this years championship, along with Doonbeg, Miltown and Clondegad.

Colm Collins side had a 1-8 to 1-4 win over Cooraclare, while Doonbeg overcame Doora Barefield by 0-14 to 0-6.

 

Miltown were 3-12 to 0-6 winners against Kilkee, while Clondegad beat Lissycasey by 2-10 to 0-11.

 

Four teams have also exited this years championship, as Shannon Gaels, Kilrush, Liscannor and St Breckans all lost their second championship games of 2014, and will now contest the relegation semi finals.

 

Kilmurry Ibrickane beat Shannon Gaels by 1-13 to 0-3, with O'Currys overcoming Kilrush by the minimum on a 1-6 to 0-8 scoreline.

 

Eire Óg eased past Liscannor by 2-12 to 0-6, while Ennistymon beat their North Clare rivals St Breckans by 2-14 to 0-6.

 

The playoff round will see Cooraclare, Doora Barefield, Kilkee and Lissycasey in one side of the draw, with Kilmurry, O'Currys, Eire Óg and Ennistymon in the other.

 

The winners of these four ties will advance to the quarter finals, while the losers contest the Senior B semi finals.

 

The draw for the playoff round will be made on Monday evening.
