Clare To Find Out Venus For League Clash With Tipperary

Clare will find out the venue for their Allianz National Hurling League Quarter Final clash with Tipperary later this afternoon.

It's after John Conlon's goal inside the opening minute set the Banner up for a 1-19 to 0-18 win over Limerick in Cusack Park in their Division 1B promotion showdown to ensure a return to the top tier for 2017.

Limerick were reduced to 14 men just after the half hour mark when Barry Nash was sent off on a second yellow card

Bobby Duggan was Clare's top scorer with 0-6 while Conor McGrath contributed 0-5.

Manager Davy Fitzgerald says while it was great to get the win, he knows there's plenty more work to be done.

The other quarter finals see Wexford taking on Waterford, Kilkenny will meet Offaly and Dublin face Limerick.
