Following a decision by the gaa’s central council Clare will be playing in Division one of the Natioanl league next season.
Today’s meeting has seen a change to the format of the league structure for 2012 and will see the Banner now compete in Division 1b.
Clare will now meet Divison two champions from this year Limerick once again along with Wexford, Offaly, Laois and Antrim.
Division 1A is Kilkenny, Dublin, Waterford, Tipperary, Galway, Cork
The format of the National Football League will remain the same next year, with additional semi-finals in Division one only
The GAA have confirmed that video technology will be used in the Hurling and Football Championships from next year. The Hawk- Eye system will be implemented on a 2-year trial period, after which a full review will be conducted.
