Clare To Square Off Against Galway In Qualifier Clash

Clare will meet Galway in the All Ireland qualifer series next month after their three goal loss to Tipperary last evening in the Munster hurling semi final

The Banner went down to the All Ireland champions by 4-19 to 1-19 in a thrilling game which saw Ger o Loughlin’s side race into an early lead before Tipperay began to dominate.

Clare now have two weeks to pick themselves up after the loss and speaking to Clare FM after the game, Clare manager Ger O’Loughlin admitted that he felt once again his side showed their inexperience.

There was better news for the Clare intermediate side as they booked a final place with Limerick next month following a 2-16 to 0-15 point win over Cork.

Elsewhere the other tie of the Qualifiers will see Limerick meet Wexford, while Derry will play Tyrone or Donegal in the Ulster football final following their 3-14 to 1-11 win over Armagh in Clones.
