Clare’s exploits on the hurling field in 2013 have been honoured once more.
The Banner claimed the team of the year award, voted on by the public during last night’s RTE Sports Awards.

The All-Ireland winning Dublin Footballers, Ireland’s Grand Slam winning women’s rugby team and Ireland’s male boxers were among those who lost out in the poll.
Last night also saw an expert panel deem Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald as the manager of the year across all sports.
Jockey Tony McCoy picked up Sports Person of the Year, an award for which hurler of the year Tony Kelly from Ballyea was also nominated.
