Clarity Expected Later Today On Structure Of 2021 Camogie Season

The window of opportunity for members of camogie clubs to have their say on how the season should be structured closes today.

With the National League set to get underway next weekend, including Clare’s opening clash with Galway, an air of uncertainty still surrounds how the fixtures calendar will be structured.

The Camogie Association initially opted not to implement the split season model in operation for both GAA and Ladies Football fixtures, but were forced to pause plans after a huge backlash from the majority of players.

A document was issued last week asking clubs to vote on their preferred model for the season ahead, with 10am this morning being the closing date for submissions to be returned.

Clare boss Ger O’Connell feels players voices should be heard.
