Clubs Count Down To County Championship

Cooraclare say they're targeting a place in the last eight of the Clare Senior Championship, as it kicks off this weekend.

Their meeting with Kilrush is one of two games to take place this Sunday, and one of eight games this weekend as the top sixteen sides in the county begin the race for Jack Daly.

Cooraclare began last year's competition with a 0-11 to 0-08 win over Kilrush, and then went onto reach the Quarter-Finals, and selecter Michael Healy says that's the target once more.

The other game this Sunday takes place in Cooraclare, where Liscannor meet Lissycasey.

These sides had contrasting fortunes last year, with Liscannor involved in the relegation battle, and Lissycasey losing in the semi-final to Doonbeg.

Barry Donnelly takes the reins with Lissycasey once more, and he says developing the younger players in his squad will be a priority.
