Collins: Banner have strength in depth

Kevin Harnett is to undergo a fitness test close to throw in this afternoon to ascertain whether or not he will take his place on the starting 15 for Clare against Louth.

The Meelick man injured his ankle during the warm up prior to last weeks win over Wexford and was replaced by Doora Barefields Stephen Collins.

Collins has once more been named in the starting 15, but should Harnett be passed fit to play, it's likely that swap will be reversed.

Podge Collins could make an appearance from the bench, but his Cratloe clubmate Cathal McInerney has been ruled out for up to 6 weeks as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Enda Coughlan and Eoin Cleary are also long term injury abseentees, but manager Colm Collins says building a strong squad was one of his key aims.

Our build up to this afternoons game starts at 1.45, with full live commentary with Syl and Joe from 2pm, all that in association with WestLink Cars on the Tuam Road in Galway.

Elsewhere in Division Three, Fermanagh go to Sligo, Tipperary face Limerick, and Wexford take on Armagh.
