Collins Brothers Named In Team To Face Waterford

Dual star Podge Collins starts for Clare in tomorrow's Munster Quarter-Final against Waterford.

The hurling All-Star is drafted in at corner-forward in one of three changes from the side that lost to Tipperary in the Division 4 League Final – his brother Sean comes into the side, as does Lissycasey goalkeeper Joe Hayes, who replaces Pierce De Loughrey.

The team also includes a number of positional switches, but Eire Og's Dean Ryan, Meelick's Kevin Hartnett and Kilmurry Ibrickane's Martin McMahon line out in an unchanged full-back line.

Also of Kilmurry Ibrickane, Shane Hickey is wing-back beside Gordon Kelly of St. Joseph's Miltown and Ciaran Russell of Eire Og, while Clondegad's Gary Brennan is joined by Corofin's Jamie Malone in midfield.

Shane McGrath of the Thomas Davis club starts at wing forward opposite Cratloe's Sean Collins, and beside Kilmurry Ibrickane's Enda Coughlan, while Podge Collins is joined by Kilmihil's Martin O'Leary and Doonbeg's David Tubridy in the full-forwards.

The two players to miss out from the last game are Shane Brennan, who's on the bench, and the injured Cathal O'Connor.

Elsewhere, and as expected Colm Begley is back in the Laois team for Sundays Leinster quarter final against Dublin in Croke Park, the Parnells clubman starts at wing back.

The O'Moore county beat Wicklow to earn a shot at the Dubs who are playing their first Chanmpionship match of the Summer.
