Collins: Galvin a Boost For Cratloe

Cratloe manager Colm Collins says the addition of Limerick midfielder John Galvin to their ranks is a big boost.

The Croom native has been living in Cratloe for a number of years, and has now transferred to the South-East Clare club on time for their Quarter-Final meeting with O'Currys.

He won't, however, be available for the Clare footballers next year as the move is only a club transfer.

Meanwhile, in hurling, Ger Cunningham is being linked to the vacant Dublin job.

The Irish Independent reports that the former Cork goalkeeper is one of the front runners to replace Anthony Daly, with Nicky English and Liam Sheedy also in the frame.

The Dublin Hurling Squad has extended its best wishes to Anthony Daly, after he stepped down as their manager.

In a statement, the squad says the Clarecastle man helped them to unprecedented success in the modern era, and has left the game there in a far stronger state than when he arrived.
