Collins hopeful of seeing game time for Clare league clash with Kerry

Clare dual star Podge Collins says he's looking forward to getting back on the field as he continues his recovery from a cruciate knee injury.

The 2013 hurling All Star has been out of action since suffering the injury last May during Cratloe's loss to Ballyea in the opening round of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship.

Collins was named among the subs for the hurlers during last weekends win over Laois, and could play some part in Sunday's clash with Kerry.

He says while the recovery is on track, he knows there's much more work to do.

Clare v Kerry gets underway on Sunday at 2pm in Cusack Park, live updates here on Clare FM in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market and Donie O'Keefe Champion Meats Turnpike Road Ennis
