Collins: That’s As Bad As We Have Ever Played As Long As I Have Been Involved

Cratloe boss Colm Collins feels his side produced one of their worst displays in the Clare senior football championship as they lost out to holders Kilmurry Ibrickane in their Group One clash.

A late rally was not enough for the 2014 champions to reel in the West Clare men, who built a 2-13 to 0-5 lead early in the final quarter.

Goals in the closing stages from Podge Collins and Diarmuid Ryan saw the gap closed to six points by full time, but Collins says there was little to positive about overall.

Meanwhile Lissycasey manager John Ryan says his side got their reward for a much improved performance as they moved back into contention for a place in the knockout stages.

An opening round loss to Eire Og meant that last years semi finalists needed to overcome Doonbeg to keep their hopes of progression alive, with a late Niall Kelly goal securing a six point win.

Ryan says everyone knew that their season was on the line
