Noelle Comyn has hit out the attitude of some of the Clare senior ladies panel following her weekend resignation as the county manager.
In a statement issued to Clare FM the ex All Ireland winner has cited a serious divide between the management and the county squad as the key reason for her resignation.
Speaking on behalf of the management team Noelle Comyn has accused the Clare senior ladies panel of having developed a culture that is not to the standard required for top inter county sides.
In a statement received by Clare FM the ex ladies boss, who was only appointed in December has accused a group of senior players feeling themselves better equipped to manage the senior side than Comyn and her selectors.
What is referred to as a "core group of senior players" are also accused of having strong opinions on the make up of the squad and the style of play that Clare adopt.
The statement goes on to say that senior players feel they should play stress free with their clubs in both camogie and football terms in completions before crucial county matches.
It also goes on to say that the senior management hope that by resigning,-Clare Ladies Football can move forward.
It also reveals that the decision was made by the management to terminate their involvement after a difficult five months and that the resignations were only tendered following a week long wait for the county players to resolve some of the key issues raised.
The Clare ladies board are expected to issue a statement later today following an executive meeting held last night.
