Controversial Camogie Goal Decision A Difficult Situation – Hickey

The standard of refereeing is under the microscope again after a controversial disallowed goal cost Clare’s Camogie side a point over the weekend.

The Banner’s side went down 2-11 to 1-11 to Waterford in Cratloe on Saturday, ending their League winning streak.

An Aine O’Loughlin goal was disallowed as the referee called a halt to play to allow treatment to two injured players elsewhere on the pitch just as she was striking the ball.
