Coughlan Hopeful Open Draw Format Will Suit Clare Minors

Clare’s minor football manager is hopeful the open draw format will suit his young side ahead of their Munster championship opener tomorrow evening.

Dermot Coughlan’s side play Tipperary at Semple Stadium, facing the prospect of three games in ten days should they manage to make it to a provincial final.

The starting 15 has been named for the game, with Ennistymon’s Brendan Rouine skippering the side.

They’ve managed to avoid the traditional powers of Kerry and Cork in the draw, with the Banner looking at a date with Limerick or Waterford next Wednesday should they emerge victorious over the Premier county.

Coughlan says there’s nothing between those four counties at minor level ahead of the championship campaign.

You can hear that interview in full on tonight’s Sideline View from 6pm

Tomorrow’s game will be broadcast live here on Clare FM, throwing in at 5pm, and our coverage is with the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board.
