Countdown Continues To Start Of 2017 Clare SHC

Sixmilebridge boss John O’Meara feels his side are on a mission to atone for their disappointing exit from the 2016 Clare Senior Hurling Championship.

They’ll begin this years campaign tomorrow evening against Clarecastle, as they bid to regain the Canon Hamilton trophy.

The Bridge lost their title when they were knocked out by Wolfe Tones in the playoff rounds last year, and O’Meara says they’re eager to put that right.

Live commentary of that game on the player below tomorrow evening from 7pm in Cusack Park.

Meanwhile Whitegate manager Mike Ryan is challenging his squad to take the next step in their development.

The east Clare men made the step up to the senior ranks in 2013, but have failed to make the knockout stages since then.

Ryan says breaking that barrier has to be their next target with Cratloe waiting for them in Round One.

That games starts tomorrow in Tulla at 7pm
