Crusheen Ready For Stern Cratloe Test

The man who will lead Crusheen out in Sunday's County Final says he's expecting a tough battle against Cratloe.

Ciaran O'Doherty will captain the side, and looking to follow in the footsteps of Gerry O'Grady in lifting the Canon Hamilton for the club on at Cusack Park Sunday evening.

It's the third time since 2010 that Crusheen will take part in the game, but O'Doherty, who captained Clare to U21 All Ireland success in 2009, feels this will count for little this weekend.

Staying with hurling and St. Flannan's begin their Harty Cup campaign this afternoon.

The Ennis school take on Thurles CBS in Nenagh, in Round 1 of the premier competition of Munster Schools Hurling.

Throw-in is at 1:30, while an hour earlier Bansha plays host to the meeting of Tramore CBS and Scarriff Community College in the C competition.
