Clareman Tom Cusack is celebrating today having claimed the gold medal in the deadlift Drug Free Single Event World Championship in Michigan.
The Sixmilebridge man claimed the title against dozens of other weightlifters – it follows from his win at the European Single Lift Championships last October.
Cusack was part of three-man Irish team competing in the U.S and is due back in Ireland on Wednesday.
