John Conlon's goal inside the opening minute gave Clare a lead they never gave up, while Bobby Duggan and Conor McGrath accounted for 0-11 between them.

The quarter final will be played on the weekend of April 2nd, with an exact date and time to be confirmed by the GAA this afternoon.

Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald says they're now in bonus territory.

Meanwhile double All Ireland winner Jamesie O'Connor says the match against Tipp will be another indication of where the Banner are in the pecking order

In the other quarter final games Kilkenny welcome Offaly to Nowlan Park, Dublin host Limerick and Wexford face Waterford in Wexford park.

Pearse Stadium in Salthill will be the venue for the relegation playoff between Galway and Cork.
