Ireland’s Deirdre Ryan is through to the final of the High Jump at the World Championships in South Korea following a career best performance in the heats.
The Dublin athlete cleared 1.95 metres for a new national record that also gives her the A standard for the London Olympics.

Alaistar Cragg has qualified for the final of the 5000 metres , the South African born runner finished 5th in his heat.
