Delaney: Qatar Saga has Damaged FIFA

The FAI's Chief Executive says the saga over the final date for the 2022 World Cup has been "damaging" to FIFA.

John Delaney was speaking after a task force announced that the tournament will likely be held in November and December – with a final two days before Christmas.

A final decision will be made next month, but Mr Delaney says it should have been clear from the outset when the World Cup would take place.

And he says that the whole episode has damaged FIFA's reputation.

Manchester City have the first of two legs against Spanish giants Barcelona in the Champions League tonight.

Their opponents have an almost fully fit squad to choose from for the last-16 clash at Eastlands, while City are without the suspended Yaya Touré.

Elsewhere, Turin hosts the first leg of Juventus' tie with Borussia Dortmund.

Both games kick-off at 7.45.
