Disappointment Over Banner’s Exit from Waterford Crystal Cup

A Selector with Clare's Senior Hurlers says they are extremely disappointed to have finished with the Clare's participation in the 2015 Waterford Crystal Cup this weekend.

The team's participation  came to an end at the hands of Cork in their semi final clash yesterday.

The Rebels struck for two goals in the opening half through Luke O'Farrell, and these proved the decisive scores in a 2-21 to 0-18 win.

Cork now take on Limerick in this years decider, while the Banners focus turns to their League opener against Galway on February 15th.

Clare Selector Michael Browne says he's particularly disappointed with the first half of the game.

Kildare go in seach of their third consecutive O'Byrne Cup triumph this afternoon. 

Standing in their way, are Jim Gavin's Dublin with throw-in in Newbridge at 2.

Kiltoom hosts the final of Connacht's FBD Insurance League, with Roscommon facing Galway from 2.15. 

There are three games in round 3 of hurling's Walsh Cup this afternoon. 

O'Connor Park hosts the meeting of Offaly and Galway. 

Tomás Waters will complete his long road back from injury when he captains Wexford in their meeting with Laois at Abbeyleix. 

While Dublin will take on Antrim at Parnell Park.
