Draws For Second Round Of Clare Senior Football Championship This Evening

The draws for the second round of the Clare Senior Football Championship will be made this evening.

Eight teams will have the chance to book a quarter final spot, while eight more will fight to ensure survival in the top tier.

8 teams have safely made it through to the winners round of the 2016 championship, and they will be drawn to face each other.

The four winners will play off, with whoever comes through here going straight to the quarter finals.

The four losers of this section will have one more chance to make the last eight.

The 8 teams who lost their opening rounds will be drawn against each other, with the losers here facing a relegation semi final.

The winners take on the losers of the other section for place in the quarter finals.

Going into the winners hat are Miltown, Kilkee, St Breckans, Lissycasey, Cratloe, Kilmurry Ibrickane, Doonbeg and Cooraclare.

The losers group will consist of Wolfe Tones, O'Currys, Kilrush, Ennistymon, Corofin, Eire Óg, Clondegad and Doora Barefield.

The draws will be made at the headquarters of Clare GAA in Clareabbey this evening from 6.45pm.
