Dunne’s comeback delayed further

There’s bad news for Richard Dunne, Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert says he’s had a set back with his groin injury and will have to return to the USA for more treatment.

Lambert admits the 33 year old is weeks away from playing meaning he’s now almost certain to miss next months World Cup qualifiers with Sweden and Austria .

Dunnes fellow defender Marc Wilson may play for Stoke aginst Reading tomorrow after making his comeback from a broken leg in a behind closed doors game on Tuesday.

Sunderland host Arsenal tomorrow and are most likley to be without James Mc Clean who’s recovering from an ankle injury.

Reading defender Stephen Kelly has hit back at Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni after the Italian questioned his commitment to his country.

Kelly says he is simply shocked & disgusted with the untrue & unwarranted comments made by the manager this week.

Trap says Kelly told him he would only come to Dublin for Wednesdays friendly with Poland if he played adding players should turn up with or without a guarantee of getting game time.

The full back who threatened not to travel to the Faroe Islands following a row with Marco Tardelli last year is believed to have grown frustrated at his lack of opportunities.

Kellys adds that he is still available for Ireland.
