Dwyer the man for Clare as he takes senior football jrole

Mick O Dwyer will get his first taste of Clare football tomorrow as he will be amongst the crowd at the Munster club football quarter final between Kilmurray Ibrickane and Dr Crokes.

The 76 year old was last night ratified as the new Clare football manager on a one year contract with Kilkee’s Ger Keane and St Joseph’s Michael Neylon part of his backroom team.

Physical trainer Michale Cahill will also remain on with the Clare senior set up while Keane is also set to be part of the u21 set up for the cominh year

The Kerryman was proposed by chairman Michael O Neill and seconded by former chairman Michael Mc Donagh at what was a somethimes heated and frank county board meeting as delegates discussed the the support of clubs for O Dwyers appointment

Chairman Michael O Neill told Clare FM he is happy that the county have got the right man for the job :
