The Jack Daly Cup is heading to Ennis after Eire Og dethroned reigning Champions Kilmurry Ibrickane in a tightly contested Clare SFC final in Cusack Park this afternoon.
The townies resisted a dogged Bricks resurgence in the second half as the West Clare men chased a five point half time deficit.
A first half Mark McInerney goal gave the townies a strong lead into the first break, and Nathan Murray pulled off a crucial save to deny Kilmurry Ibrickane a goal of their own before the half time whistle.
A determined Bricks clawed the difference to two points with a brilliant second half attack but Eire Og recovered themselves and hit the final three points against a now 14-man opposition to seal the win.
Final score in Cusack Park was Eire Og 1-11, Kilmurry Ibrickane 0-9.
