Jenny Hennessy of Ennis will compete in the Irish women’s open stroke play Championship at the Newlands Golf Club in Dublin this weekend.
The promising 17 year old will be one of 72 players taking part in the tournament, which gets underway on Saturday.
The field includes 34 overseas competitors, hailing from 8 countries.

The players will play 36 holes on Saturday, with the top 40 qualifying for the final round which will be held on Sunday.
