An Ennis man is hoping to become the first Irish person to run 100 kilometres in under seven hours.
Ennis Track athlete and Irish record holder Keith Whyte made the claim ahead of next month’s Energia 24 hour 100 kilometre race in Belfast’s Victoria Park, on June 23rd.
Whyte has recovered from hip injury which has kept him away from competitive racing for 21 months.
