F.A.I Chief executive John Delaney says they’ll wait until after the Euro qualifier draw in February before any friendly with England is confirmed.
Following last Mays meeting at Wembley the three Lions are due to come to Dublin but it remains a possibility that the teams could be drawn in the same group for Euro 2016.
If that does happen no friendly would be played before the start of the group next Autumn.
