Fennessey upbeat despite Deise loss

Clare minor manager Eamon Fennessey believes the future of the game in the county is in good hands depsite last nights Munster Semi final loss to Waterford in Dungarvan.

The Deise raced into a 1-6 to 0-0 lead early in the first half, but Clare rallied to lead by 2-10 to 2-8 with just 12 minutes to go.

 

A late surge from the reigning All Ireland champions saw them clinch their place in the Munster Final on a final scoreline of 2-13 to 2-12.

 

Fenessey says that the future is bright for Clare hurling

 

Meanwhile, captain Dara Walsh praised his team mates for their resolve in reeling in Waterfords lead. The Eire Óg man said he was proud of the teams efforts.

 

Reigning Munster champions Limerick take on Cork in other semi final this evening, with throw in at the Gaelic Grounds at 7.30pm.
