Fitzgerald Disappointed At Clare’s Second-Half Slump

Clare hurling boss Davy Fitzgerald says he's at a loss to explain his side's second half performance during their League defeat to Cork.

Jimmy Barry Muphy’s side claimed a 1-24 to 0-17 win to register their first points in Division 1A, with Clare still searching for their opening win following last week’s defeat to Galway.

The Rebels outscored the Banner by 0-12 to 0-5 in the second period, with Clare failing to score from play during the closing 20 minutes.

However, Fitzgerald insists his team still have time on their side in a bid to avoid the drop.

Dublin's hurlers are top of Division 1A of the Allianz League this morning, following their 0-25 to 3-11 victory over Kilkenny at Nowlan Park.

Tipperary beat Galway 2-18 to 20-points at Semple Stadium.

In Division 1B, Wexford's push for promotion continued with a 2-15 to 12-points victory over Offaly in Tullamore.

Limerick got their first win, beating Antrim 23-points to 1-12 in Ballycastle.
