Conor Ryan, David McInerney and John Conlon are all set to miss out, but Tony Kelly and Peter Duggan could return to the starting 15.

The sides are also due to meet on June 5th in the Munster Hurling Semi Final, but Fitzgerald says Sunday is the sole focus for now.

Meanwhile joint captain Kelly says they know the size of the challenge that faces them on Sunday.

Waterford are the defending National League champions, and were beaten in the All Ireland semi final of 2015 by eventual champions Kilkenny.

The Ballyea man says they can only focus on what they can control.

Throw in at Semple Stadium Thurles on Sunday is at 3.30pm, live commentary here on Clare FM in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market and Donie O'Keefe Champion Meats Turnpike Road Ennis.
