It was Clare's 11th straight win of 2016, and sets up a showdown against Waterford on May 1st.

Fitzgerald says his side did what was needed.

Meanwhile there was a further boost for Clare as joint captain Tony Kelly made his first apperance of the League after returning from an ankle injury.

The Ballyea man came off the bench in the second half and helped himself to 0-2.

Kelly says it was important to keep their momentum going.

Clare and Waterford are also set to meet in the Munster Championship Semi Final on June 5th, but Banner selector Donal Og Cusack says that won't effect how they prepare for the league final..

No venue has yet been decided for the game
