Davy Fitzgeralds LIT beat DIT 1-18 to 1-13, while Brian Lohans UL had a 1-24 to 1-11 win over GMIT. Ballyea's Tony Kelly accounted for 0-7 of the UL total.

Those results mean both UL and LIT are into the last eight.
Elsewhere, NUIG beat UCC by 0-21 to 0-19, Clare's Bobby Duggan with 0-12 for NUIG in that one, while CIT were 1-19 to 1-14 winners over St Pats.
Mary I were comfortable winners against WIT, 2-19 to 0-10 the final score.
In the Dublin derby, UCD got the better of DCU by 2-16 to 1-14
