A miserable week for new Munster head coach Anthony Foley was topped-off last night by a narrow defeat to Edinburgh in their opening game of the new Guinness Pro12.
Ian Keatley's injury-time penalty drifted narrowly wide of the posts at Thomond Park as Munster were left to rue an error-strewn performance that handed Edinburgh a 14 points to 13 victory in Limerick.
After the game, Foley said while it was disappointing to begin his reign with a loss, the focus now turns to next weeks game against Treviso.
The rest of the Irish provinces will be hoping to avoid a similar fate today.
Ulster will be first into action when they travel to Parc y Scarlets for a 2:40 kick-off.
Meanwhile, Connacht have home advantage as they prepare for the visit of the Dragons to the Sportsground at 5pm.
And Leinster will start the defence of their title with a repeat of last season's Grand Final.
The champions have travelled to Scotstoun to face the Glasgow Warriors in a 5:15 start.
