Foley remains hopeful of top job in the future

Munster coach Anthony Foley insists he’s enjoying working under new boss Rob Penney, the man who was chosen ahead of him to succeed Tony McGahan.

Penney, Foley and the rest of the Munster team are putting their finishing preparations on Saturday’s game in Edinburgh, their first competitive outing under the new boss.

The Killaloe man had been touted as a strong contender to take the top job when McGahan left, but it went to the New Zealander, with Foley staying on in charge of Munster’s forwards.

He’s told Clare FM that the arrangement is working well, but admits he wants to become head coach one day.
