Gaa head open to hosting 2023 Rugby World Cup

GAA Director General, Paraic Duffy says that he would be open to the idea of Ireland playing host to the Rugby World Cup in 2023.

Duffy says that he would personally be in favour of the tournament coming to Ireland, but says that the use of any GAA stadiums, outside of Croke Park, will require a rule change within the Association.

The IRFU and the Minister for Sport have both said they will look into the possibility of Ireland staging the competition when it returns to Europe in 12 years time.
